Meet our Staff
Leah King, Senior Regional Director of Youth Engagement
I'm Leah King, your Regional Director of Youth Engagement! I was born and raised in Connecticut, and attended McGill University in Montreal. I've lived in the greater Boston area since 2013, which is enough time to really identify as a Patriots fan. I work with congregations and youth professionals in the Northeast to support their youth programs, as well as planning and executing all NFTY events with the teen leaders. I love camp, chai lattes, and art museums. Fun fact: I spent a year helping to conserve works of art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art! I look forward to visiting your youth group or congregation to talk about ways we can engage more teens in our Jewish community!
Aaron Gurivs, Regional Advisor
Aaron is very excited to be joining the NFTY-NE team! Aaron is currently finishing his third year at Temple Beth Shalom in Needham, MA. Among other responsibilities at TBS, Aaron has been at NFTY-NE events as one of the BESTY Advisors for the past two years. Prior to that, Aaron was also lucky enough to spend a year as the BEFTY Advisor in Belmont, MA. All the while Aaron has spent seven of the past eight summers on the staff and Leadership Team at URJ Eisner Camp, and has been a group leader for NFTY in Israel and Kesher Birthright. Perhaps most importantly, Aaron is a proud alumnus of NFTY-NE. He started as a member of SHAFTY in Newton, MA, served as Religious & Cultural Vice President on the NFTY-NE Board in 5770, and has been so happy to be back with the NFTY-NE community the past few years. Aaron is looking forward to giving back to this community and working with the next generation of Jewish leaders!
